• 1st Book - Gospel according to Matthew

Matthew also known as St. Matthew the Evangelist is one of the 12 apostles of Jesus described in the Bible as the tax collector.

He wrote this Gospel which became the first book of the New Testament. It narrates the life and death of Jesus Christ and emphasizes Christ's fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies about the Savior and Jesus' role as a new lawgiver whose divine mission was confirmed by His miracles. It also emphasizes Jesus' teachings especially through discourses like the Sermon on the Mount.
