Devotion Day 5
Today's Devotion:
John 3:21 NIV
[21] But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
Reflection:
In today's devotion, light comes into the world in the form of a man - Jesus Christ. And so, whoever believes in Him will not be condemned but will be saved.
Whoever does the evil things doesn't want the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be known, hiding it is their world and doesn't want to be caught up!
While the follower of Christ doesn't have any problems about that because they are free.
Freedom is one of the most valuable gift from God that we gave received. Life were given to us for free, our body was given to us for free, and while living this world, we commit sins that are unacceptable to the Lord, and the payment for our sins is death, but Jesus already did that for us so that we will be restored and live with God in heaven, for free!
In today's world, nothing is free anymore, everything must be paid. Our debts must be paid. Taxes are paid just for being alive in a country where we live in exchange for the services of the government. Education has its own price as well. Even healthcare must be paid. Nothing in this world is free which makes our lives harder and harder. And with the inflation that is upon our shoulder each and every year, life becomes harder and harder when the value of the money we earned can't pay enough for our necessities anymore - it's a sad life actually and God knows it.
But, with God, everything is free! He provided everything for us for free, all our needs in this world. But, our sins made our life complicated. A difficult life is the consequence for our sins. Yet, God still provided us the way to be saved from it and be freed through His son, Jesus Christ. He became our sacrifice in order for us to have an everlasting life with God, our creator. Just how Adam and Eve lived in the garden of Eden before the fall.
