Conquering Money

Remember the verse on Matthew 6:24 , when Jesus said: 24 "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money." This verse needs thorough understanding because on the other hand, money is crucial to live our life. Now, here is my take on this verse. Try to look at the other side of the lense.  Somehow, I got confused by this verse because money also serves a purpose in our life. Devotion Day 7

Today's Scripture: ‭1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV‬ [58] Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Reflection: What I love about today's scripture is that anything we do for the Lord will never go in vain. Might it be about a new project, profession, work or career, if we dedicate our power and effort to the Lord, it will never go in vain. No regrets at all. Our life's achievement, might be it from school academics, commendation at work or maybe community service, might reward us in a way or another but might be forgotten forever as well. But, if those effort will be dedicated to the Lord, it will prosper and might bless and inspire more people for the glory of God. Devotion Day 5

Today's Devotion: ‭John 3:21 NIV‬ [21] But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. Reflection: In today's devotion, light comes into the world in the form of a man - Jesus Christ. And so, whoever believes in Him will not be condemned but will be saved. Whoever does the evil things doesn't want the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be known, hiding it is their world and doesn't want to be caught up! While the follower of Christ doesn't have any problems about that because they are free. Freedom is one of the most valuable gift from God that we gave received. Life were given to us for free, our body was given to us for free, and while living this world, we commit sins that are unacceptable to the Lord, and the payment for our sins is death, but Jesus already did that for us so that we will be restored and live with God in heaven, for free!
