Devotion Day 7

Today's Scripture: ‭1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV‬ [58] Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Reflection: What I love about today's scripture is that anything we do for the Lord will never go in vain. Might it be about a new project, profession, work or career, if we dedicate our power and effort to the Lord, it will never go in vain. No regrets at all. Our life's achievement, might be it from school academics, commendation at work or maybe community service, might reward us in a way or another but might be forgotten forever as well. But, if those effort will be dedicated to the Lord, it will prosper and might bless and inspire more people for the glory of God. Whatever it is that you have in mind that will put God first in other people's lives, do it and your fruits will never spoil or rotten. It will prosper and will become ...

Devotion Day 6

Today's Scripture: ‭Acts 8:32-35 NIV‬ [32] This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. [33] In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.” [34] The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” [35] Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. Reflection: In today's scripture,

Devotion Day 5

Today's Devotion: ‭John 3:21 NIV‬ [21] But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. Reflection: In today's devotion, light comes into the world in the form of a man - Jesus Christ. And so, whoever believes in Him will not be condemned but will be saved. Whoever does the evil things doesn't want the light, because they do not want their evil deeds to be known, hiding it is their world and doesn't want to be caught up! While the follower of Christ doesn't have any problems about that because they are free. Freedom is one of the most valuable gift from God that we gave received. Life were given to us for free, our body was given to us for free, and while living this world, we commit sins that are unacceptable to the Lord, and the payment for our sins is death, but Jesus already did that for us so that we will be restored and live with God in heaven, for free! In today...

Devotion Day 4

Today's Devotion: ‭Luke 7:47 NIV‬ [47] Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.” Reflection: It is my mission now to complete the scriptures on this blog and make it a little creative to entertain my readers while learning about God's words. It makes me feel fulfilled doing this and it also strengthen my spirit becoming more sensitive to the message of the Holy Spirit.  Yes, prayers and reading the Bible will strengthen our spirits making us more sensitive to the message of the Lord. It is our responsibility to do these in order for us to connect ourselves to our Creator and know His messages for us.  The more we pray and learn His words, the more our spirits become healthy and so our whole body and mind. If our spirit is weak, so is our body and mind. Prayers, reading the Bible and fasting (which I plan to do in the coming days) are essential practices to make our spirit strong in t...

Devotion Day 3

Today's Devotion: ‭Acts 2:38 NIV‬ [38] Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  [39] The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Reflection: How time flies so fast, and I am now on the 4th day of January this 2025 and my 3rd day of my daily devotion. How I wish to consistently read my bible daily and to reflect on the Word of the Lord for my own sake.  There is comfort and clarity I feel from the Word of God. How great God is for providing us the Bible that was written by numerous prophets for thousands of years and that book is still alive up unto this day. And one of the mission I want to do in my lifetime is to finish and understand the Bible. It is also my dream to create something where I can rely my understanding of the bible like a book or maybe an interactive book, or a chann...

Devotion Day 2

Today's Devotion: ‭Galatians 1:10 NIV‬ [10] Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.  Reflection: As a human being, yes, I'm guilty of winning the approval of other people. Since  childhood, I always look forward to the approval of my parents and of my neighboring friends. In classroom, I also seek the approval of my teachers and of my classmates. Until I had a job, I still wanted the approval of the heads and even of my colleagues about myself. I think everyone does, but, is it worth it? Is it worth it living my whole life trying to please other people? How much does it values my life after getting the approval of other people. What does it add into my life?  When I feel appreciated, my dopamine hormone increases and makes me feel happy. Especially on how we use the social media today just to get the approval and acceptance of other people ...

Devotion Day 1

Today's Devotion: ‭Romans 12:2 NIV‬ [2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.  Reflection: In the past, I have been through a rough road that I already gave up in life totally and just wanted to have a renewed life. I asked of the Lord to take control of my life for I have messed up everything, my marriage, my finances, and now I am drowned in debts with no additional income stream, lost a big chunk of my time as I will be turning 42 next month with nothing much on my hand, etc. I'm done with doing and re-doing my life because I just always fail. And in today's devotion, the scripture says it all. As I celebrate this new year, 2025, I would like to spend a time for daily devotion, reflection and prayer. I wanted to spend my life to whatever is God's plan for me, pursuing His will for me and to find my peace of mind and...
